Loake Shoemakers

Acerte first began working with Loake Shoemakers in 2009. Since that time our working relationship has gone from strength to strength. The company is a quintessentially English brand, which has been producing high-quality handmade footwear for more than 130 years.

We were initially appointed to breathe new life into the company’s catalogue: producing a beautiful, bound book with lots of foiling and indexing. The various catalogue we have produced are always well-received as this 2013 review by Draper clearly shows.

“In an era of such digital advancement, it’s sometimes nice to hold in your hands something tangible that captures your attention. And that’s just what happened when Loake’s sales book landed on my desk this week. “It’s nothing flash, the photographs aren’t shot by the coolest new photographer and there’s no hot young thing draped across a chaise dangling a shot from their finger tip. But what it does do is show the reader what the brand’s good shoes look like. It is organised and feels proper, as they say in my neck of the woods. A million times better than a half-baked digital look book any day.”

Over the course of our long-standing relationship with Loake Shoemakers, we have produced numerous printed publicity items. Our work has ranged from retail training brochures to inbox leaflets and from swing tickets to retail opportunities brochures. The images opposite show just a small selection of the work we have produced. They represent a strong corporate style, which celebrates the company’s long history but also acknowledges its contemporary credentials.
