As its name suggests, this Leicester-based brewery and bakery has links to a certain monarch who was unearthed just around the corner from our office. With the beers Raisin’ Richard and Richard’s Return, the Richard III association becomes even clearer and it seemed obvious to us to make the King an integral part of the brand. We developed a logo that featured Richard III’s skeleton, including his curved spine, in a coffin-shaped holding device.
This was complemented by hand-drawn typography, both in the logo and in all accompanying marketing materials. Our designs have given a contemporary, handcrafted feel to this award-winning company’s identity and packaging.
